World Premiere: Galactic with David Shaw and Maggie Koerner "Hey Na Na"

Playlist Description:

Here is the world premiere of a song from the forthcoming Galactic album. Carnivale Electricos, which is set for a release on Mardi Gras Day (February 21), explores the connections between Carnivale Music in both New Orleans and Brazil. A variety of guests appear on the disc, and on this song the group is joined by David Shaw (the Revivalists) and New Orleans vocalist Maggie Koerner. The band offers these thoughts on “Hey Na Na”: “The background vocals were inspired by Dr. John’s “Gris Gris” album. We think it has a “Ride Your Pony” (Lee Dorsey) combined with a cool fuzzed out party rock guitar—a new take on the New Orleans formula.”

Wow! A fantastic cut. Does this mean you are moving away from the band, or spreading out in addition to the band? Whatever, good exposure!
